Milestones and Sissy Caption - Always There

I know you all must get tired of hearing me talk about the success of this blog, but I just can't keep it to myself.   I just passed a thousand posts, so I think a little reflection is warranted.  It's hard to believe that this blog is less than two and a half years old.  It doesn't seem like that long ago that I was wrestling with the decision about whether or not I should start a new blog or continue with the Omar Bell Universe.  I think I made the right decision - an all encompassing blog represents a much better opportunity for much more varied captions. 

Back then, I was happy getting 25 thousand pageviews in a month.  Now, there are individual days when that happens.  And last month,  we had almost half a million.  I never would have hoped for such a successful blog, much less expected it. 

So those are the numbers; they're all well and good.  But the real growth has been in my work.  My writing has stayed pretty much the same (with a few milestones, like deciding to do "all dialogue" captions).  But the quality of the photo modifications has increased dramatically.  I'm quite proud of that because I'm completely self- taught, and I've only been doing modifications for about three years. 

I hope the next thousand posts garner at least as much success.  I know I'll continue posting as long as you all keep reading!  Thanks for making this blog what it is!
